Finding something to say to start a new blog (what is this, 2005?) seems rather intimidating. So instead of waiting for something interesting to come to my mind, I’ll start with some free writing, an excercise I typically do in a small composition book with pen and ink.

I’ve decided to open this blog up as a place to put down my thoughts. There’s no shop, no ads, no monitization. None of that. Not right now anyways, and maybe never. If I do end up going that route, then I’ll try to be as fair about it as possible, but if I die and the only two people who view this blog, besides me, are my parents, so be it.

Who am I? I’m a boring computer nerd in Winthrop Maine. I trick sand into doing math. I am classically liberal, leftist, athiest (ex-catholic), secular humanist and a number of other things. I like video games, I raid on Tuesdays and Thursdays in World of Warcraft. I used to play Destiny 2 a lot. I enjoy a wide variety of TV shows, including and not limited to: Psych, Monk, The Office, Band of Brothers, Lucifer and many others. I’ve also started working on an art habit, don’t know where I’m going with it yet, and I like to write.

Typically my day to day journal is pen and ink and I intend to keep it that way. This blog isn’t a “this is what I did to day, woke up at 5, took a piss, made breakfast . . .” No, this is where I put down personal essays about things I’m thinking about, opinions I have, something I need to vent about.

Oh and I hate Donald Trump. So if you’re the type of MAGA hat who gets upset when someone says bad things about Orange Trumpenfuhrer, let me say this kindly, fuck off. Don’t care. I don’t want this blog to be constantly about Der Trumpenfuhrer, but I’m not going to not talk about him either.

Anyways, now that this post is out of the way, I think I can safely say I’m ready to get writing.

I think I’ll put this into three or more formats. I was thinking of a YT channel, still am. To be honest, it’s been a YT channel I’ve been thinking about for like 4 years now but haven’t decided to do it yet. But I’ll try to keep the following schedule:

• Misconception Mondays
• Weird Fact Wednesdays
• Fired Up Fridays

Think it’s fairly obvious what those are. Was gonna do that in a YT channel but I’ll try to at minimum make 3 posts a week on those topics. Maybe I’ll do more in a week, maybe I’ll do stuff that doesn’t fit those three catagories. But right now, that’s the plan.

Anywho, I guess it’s a Tuesday so I can do Wierd Fact Wednesday tomorrow.
